Facing Mountains Therapy Boulder, CO

Hey, I am Paige!

Paige Leedy Therapist in Boulder, CO

Psychotherapy in Boulder, CO & Telehealth Statewide

We all hit points in life where the path forward feels like an immovable peak.

For some of my clients, the mountain is physical and emotional clutter—feeling suffocated by stuff, exhausted by consumerism, or crushed by inherited family guilt. For others, the mountain is a major turning point—navigating college, post-grad uncertainty, or the shift into adulthood.

Whatever mountain you’re standing in front of, you don't have to climb it alone.

Therapy for Chronic Disorganization & Over-Consumption

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, not a professional organizer.

Professional organizers focus on the external—sorting boxes, buying containers, and arranging closets. I focus on the internal—resolving the underlying shame, trauma, executive dysfunction, boundary struggles, and emotional attachment that fuel the clutter cycle in the first place.

  • What I address: Over-consumption, decision paralysis, capitalism burnout, executive dysfunction, feelings around inherited family belongings, and emotional clutter attachment.

  • Scope of practice: My practice focuses on chronic disorganization and executive friction. I do not specialize in clinical Hoarding Disorder, nor do I provide hands-on, in-home physical sorting.

Therapy for Young Adults & College Students

While my specialized focus is in chronic disorganization, my heart remains deeply rooted in supporting young adults.

Whether you’re adjusting to life at CU Boulder, managing post-grad panic, navigating identity shifts, or figuring out how to be an adult in a chaotic world, I offer a grounded space to help you find your footing.

My Approach

Real change doesn't happen by just pushing through or forcing yourself to "be better." Whether you’re unburdening a room full of clutter or stepping into a new phase of adulthood, we have to look below the surface.

My practice integrates three evidence-based therapy modalities to help you heal the root causes, not just the symptoms:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): We listen to the "parts" of you that hold onto items for safety, worry about making the wrong decision, or carry family expectations, and help those overwhelmed parts step down so you can lead.

  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT): We untangle your mind from social pressure, capitalist noise, and self-doubt, helping you make choices, and curate your life, based on what actually matters to you.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): We process underlying grief, developmental trauma, and past distress, releasing the emotional charge tied to scarcity, family loss, or life transitions.
